Raya University in collaboration with Imagine One Day Held a Capacity Building Training on “Whole Brained Leadership”.

Raya University in collaboration with Imagine One Day, a Non-Governmental International Organization, held a Capacity Building Training on “Whole Brained Leadership” to Raya University Management Staffs on January 25/2024 at ‘Maida’ Raya Hotel, Mekhoni Town.

The aim of the training is to enhance the leadership development of management staffs and there by alleviate the intricate leadership challenges they face towards their journey of success in the university.

Dr. Naga Afera, Teaching and Learning, Research and Technology Transfer Community Service, Vice President of RU, said in his opening speech that delivering leadership trainings to management staffs is indispensable as it helps them to be well equipped with the various winning formulas of leadership styles to positively influence the top, down and across workmates.

The training was delivered by Teacher Halefom Gezae (PhD Candidate), Director of Imagine One Day’s Northern Ethiopia (Afar, Amhara and Tigray regions). He emphasized in his presentation that leaders to recognize primarily their own and their team’s thinking styles so as to meet the characteristics of effective leadership. He also stipulated that leaders to be innovative and all rounded who can use varied and sincere strategies that enhance their communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills in order to create plausible impact on their organizational success.

Both organizations also expressed their willingness and commitment to work in close ties in capacity building, quality in education and over all rehabilitation journey of the region.
