The English Language Improvement Center (ELIC) at Raya University is Helping to enhance the English Language Proficiency of its Trainees!”- RU’s ELIC Council

Dr. Nigus Mesele, The Director for Academic Program at Raya University, in the discussion states that as English is the medium of instruction in all universities of the country, the university is dedicated to find out the challenges and problems in the ELIP and to suggest the common standards of teaching and learning to make the program a vital component of academic success.

Zeray Hailekiros (Ph.D), a Lecturer of English Language and Literature Department and the crucial ELIC coordinator at Raya University, on his part said that although many problems faced in the ELIP implantation a lot effort is being done to advance the training via multiple essential techniques to help the trainees achieve their desired goals of language proficiency.

From the discussions that were being held at the ELIC Council, it could have been observed that trainees in the English Language Improvement Program are trying their best to develop their language skills and to increase their confidence, fluency and accuracy.

According to the ELIC coordinating office report, more than seventy academic staffs from different colleges of Raya University are attending the first round training session at the university’s ELIC to equip their language skills and confidence they need to excel in their effective communication.

According to the coordinator and facilitator of the ELIC program all those who are willing to contribute and learn are welcome to join.\
