A training was given to the higher and middle school administrators of the university on the reform of higher education institutions, specialization and evaluation of the curriculum on November 28/2016 at Meda Raya Hotel (Meheni city).
University president Professor Tadesse Dejene’s opening speech has said that our university is working successfully by solving various problems.
The president Aklew said that our university will continue as such training is important to be on par with other universities.
The main objective of the training is to ensure the quality of education institutions to produce competent educated manpower.
Honorable Mr. Beyene Tezera, the head of the teachers and students development desk of the ministry of education has given a training on the reform of the education system in higher education institutions.
Mr. Beyene Tezera has explained in his training about higher education institutions field identification, exit exam practice, digitalization, institutional freedom, journal accreditation and publishing, higher education institutions and industry linkages, structural reform and also problems faced by the reform implementation.
Mr. Tesfaye Negewo who is in charge of the programs and systems desk of the Ministry of Education has given practical training on differentiation of higher education institutions, research universities, applied science universities and universities.
Mr. Tesfaye Negewo has given a detailed explanation on the background of higher education institutions, importance and necessity, objective and concept and also on the evaluation of the educational program.
Comments and questions raised from the participants of the training have been answered by the concerned bodies.
Finally, Dr. Nega Afera , ARCSTT Vice President of Raya University gave the closing speech of the training.
