The MoU represents a formal commitment to collaborative research and development efforts, ensuring that the partnership formed during the workshop, which is currently underway at ILRI Addis Ababa Campus, leads to tangible and sustained impacts on the dairy sector.
The MoU is expected to solidify relationships and frameworks for continuous knowledge exchange and joint initiatives aimed at addressing the complex challenges facing dairy production in Ethiopia.
Besides Raya University, a member of the Universities (Ambo, Aksum, Bonga, Mekelle, Jimma, and Adigrat) are also taking part in the workshop and MoU signing function.
A dairy farm is currently under establishment at the CAES, and the farm is expected to supply milk to the community at a good cost within a reasonably short time.
