Welcome to the website of University of Raya.

Raya University (RU) Research and Ethics Induction Directorate RU is one of well-established public universities in Ethiopia engaged in teaching, research and community services in the last 6 years. Currently it is differentiated as a comprehensive University and the University aspires to be one of the top three Comprehensive Universities in Ethiopia by 2030. Research have been among the core missions of the Ethiopian Higher Education Institutions (HEI).

In light of this mission, Raya University has identified nine research thematic areas and has carried out many research works in the last six years. In doing so, RU has contributed its part for the overall development of the country through disseminating several research outputs and technological innovations. Within six years age of the University, a total of 48 research projects with a total budget of 9.5 million Ethiopian birr were funded from government.

The directorate is actively engaging in demand driven and problem solving researches and projects so to relieve the socio economic problems of the society. The directorate strives its best to carry out multidisciplinary, participatory, original, scientific, problem-solving researches that adhere relevant professional code of ethics. The research process encourages the joint research among colleges/institutes with appropriate inter-college/institute collaboration and with other national and international stakeholders and donors.

The university has a good performance and reputation in the areas of research. For this reason, it has attracted the attention of several national and international institutions for collaborative engagements. Furthermore, the University has excellent records in the administration and management of collaborative projects. Presently, Raya University is running collaborative projects with several international and national partners.

Thus, Raya University (RU) Research and Ethics Induction Directorate RU, welcomes researchers, Universities and other organizations interested to collaborate with us in the areas of basic, applied, developmental research and technological innovations. The University has very experienced researchers and devoted young staffs that are very much committed to working with our esteemed partners.
