RU Delivered Training on Teaching Methods to High School Teachers of Southern Zone of Tigray

The training aimed to improve the capacity of teachers in different teaching methods and thereby provide their students with more motivating practical and engaging activities.

Mr. Seman Mola, the Coordinator of the Southern Zone of Tigray Education Sector, having stated the economic, social and environmental crises the devastating war of Tigrai has unleashed, expressed his appreciation to the universities commitment and endeavors in fulfilling its public responsibilities in delivering such demand driven capacity building trainings and material supports to enhance the education sector.

Mr. Girmay Gidey, RU’s College of Social Science and Humanities, Dean and Mr. Berhe Akele, RU’s College of Natural and computational Science, Dean, presented on the different methods and techniques of teaching, and test evaluation and measurement techniques to utilize the results for the improvement of teaching-learning process.

Mr. Shumuye Tafere (Assis. Professor), Raya University’s Teachers’ Development and Deliverelogy Coordinator and, Dr. Gebremedhin Godif on their part, highlighted the concept, objectives, characteristics, benefits, strategies and implementations of learning theories to the trainees.

In the training, various issues related to the topics were raised and entertained by the participants and trainers.

Mr. Debasi Gidey, RU’s community Service Director, in his closing remark emphasized that teachers are expected to play their part in applying the different teaching methods and test evaluation measurement techniques they acquire on the ground, and ultimately achieve learning outcomes.

ይህ የተለገጸው ራያ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ከትግራይ ክልል ትምህርት ቢሮ ጋር በመተባበር በደቡባዊ ትግራይ ዞን ለሚገኙ የሁለተኛ ደረጃ ትምህርት ቤቶች መምህራን መጋቢት 20 እና 21/2017 ዓ.ም በኮረም እና መኾኒ ከተሞች በመማር ማስተማር ስነ ዘዴ ጽንሰ-ሀሳቦች ትግበራ ዙርያ የዓቅም ግንባታ ስልጠና በሰጠበት ወቅት ነው።

በስልጠናው ተገኝተው መልእክት ያስተላለፉት የደቡባዊ ትግራይ ዞን ትምህርት ዘርፍ አስተባባሪ የሆኑት መምህር ሰማን ሞላ፤ ተከስቶ በነበረው ጦርነት በዞኑ የትምህርት ሴክተር ዘርፈ-ብዙ ጉዳት ስለደረሰበት የትምህርት ማህበረሰቡ ለተለያዩ ማህበራዊ፣ ምጣኔ ሃፍታዊ እና ስነ-ልቦናዊ ቀውሶች ተጋልጠዋል በማለት የአከባቢውን ማህበረሰብ ለማገልገል ትልቅ ስራ እየሰራ ያለው ራያ ዩኒቨርሲቲ መምህራን ሙያቸውን ለማሳደግ ወሳኝ የሆነ እና በትምህርት ጥራት ትግበራ ወሳኝነት ያለው ስልጠና አዘጋጅቷል ብለዋል፡፡

የማህበራዊ ሳይንስና ስነ ሰብ ኮሌጅ ዲን መምህር ግርማይ ግደይ እና የተፈጥሮ እና ቀመር ሳይንስ ኮሌጅ ዲን መምህር በርሀ አከለ (ረዳት ፕሮፌሰር)፤ የተማሪዎች ምዘና እና የግምገማ አተገባበር ትርጉም፣ ዓላማ፣ ፋይዳ፣ ልዩነት፣ ዓይነት፣ መርሆች፣ ባህሪያት እና የአተገባበር መንገዶች ዝርዝር ሙያዊ ማብራሪያ አቅርበዋል።

የራያ ዩኒቨርሲቲ የመምህራን ልማትና ሥርጭት አስተባባሪ የሆኑት መምህር ሹሙዬ ታፈረ (ረዳት ፕሮፌሰር) እና ዶ/ር ገ/መድህን ጎዲፍ፤ የመማር ንድፈ ሃሳቦችን ጽንሰ ሃሳብ፣ ዓላማ፣ ባህሪያት፣ ጥቅሞች፣ ስልቶች እና የትግበራ ሂደት ለሰልጣኞች ገለፃ አድርገዋል፡፡

ከሰልጣኞች ጋር በተደረገ ውይይት ስልጠናው የተማሪዎችን ዕውቀት፣ ክህሎት፣ እና ስነ ምግባር በአግባቡ ለመከታተል እና ውጤታማ የመማር ማስተማር ሂደት እንዲሁም ተቋማዊ ተጠያቂነትን ለማረጋገጥ ወሳኝ የትምህርት ግብዓት የተገኘበት መሆኑነ ተገልጿል፡፡

የራያ ዩኒቨርሲቲ የማህበረሰብ አገልግሎት ዳይሬክተር መምህር ደባሲ ግደይ በመዝጊያ ንግግራቸው፤ የስልጠናው ጽንሰ ሃሳብ በመተግበር የተማሪዎችን እድገት ለመከታተል እና የትምህርት ጥራት ለማረጋገጥ የበኩላችሁን ሚና ማበርከት ይጠበቅባቹኃል ብለዋል፡፡
